I started Little Tree Care because I got tired of watching homeowners get talked into work their trees didn't need — or worse, watching trees get butchered by contractors who didn't know what they were doing. Trees are long-lived things. A bad cut today shows up as a structural problem fifteen years from now.
I've been working in arboriculture for over fifteen years. I've climbed everything from backyard ornamentals to large-diameter Douglas firs in tight residential lots. I know how trees fail, where the load paths are, and what a branch collar actually looks like versus where most people think it is.
I show up to every job personally. That's not a marketing line — it's how I keep quality consistent. When you call us, you're getting me on-site for the assessment, for the quote, and for the work. The crew I bring is the same crew every time.

Why owner-operator matters
Most tree companies send a sales estimator for the quote and a different crew for the work. The person who assessed your tree and made promises about it isn't the person holding the chainsaw. That gap is where problems happen.
When I do the assessment, I also do the work. There's no translation layer, no handoff, and no "the crew misunderstood the scope." If I said I'd clear the branches from the south side fence, I'm the one who clears it.
It also means I don't take on more than I can staff properly. You won't get a job rescheduled four times because we've overbooked a subcontractor. Nine out of ten jobs are booked within the week and completed as scheduled.

Surrey, BC
Newton, Whalley, Guildford, Fleetwood, Cloverdale, South Surrey, and White Rock. Surrey is our home base and represents the core of our work — we know the neighbourhoods, the common tree species, and the local bylaws.
Langley, BC
City and Township of Langley — from residential lots in Walnut Grove and Willowbrook to large acreage properties in the rural Township. Same crew, same pricing, same standards.
Maple Ridge, BC
Residential and rural properties throughout Maple Ridge, including large lots bordering the Alouette River corridor and natural areas near the North Shore mountains.
Abbotsford, BC
All of Abbotsford — Clearbrook, Matsqui, Sumas Mountain, East Abbotsford, and rural properties. Farm lots, strata developments, and older residential neighbourhoods.
Outside these areas? Call and ask. We occasionally travel further for larger jobs.
